The ceremony was attended by over 100 guests, including: Huang Xinhong, Secretary-General of the Architectural Ceramics Branch of China Ceramic Industry Association; Zhang Baiqing, Vice Chairman of the Ceramic Branch of the Chinese Ceramic Society; Chen Huan, President of Guangdong Ceramic Association; Zhang Bing, General Manager of Shandong Sinocera Functional Materials Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Sinocera Create-tide; Si Liuqi, Deputy General Manager of Shandong Sinocera Functional Materials Co., Ltd. ("Shandong Sinocera"); Wang Xiangqian, General Manager of Sinocera Create-tide; Zhang Tianjie, Deputy General Manager; Shen Shaoxiong, Chief Technology Officer; as well as representatives from major inkjet equipment suppliers, tile manufacturers, and industry media.
Monthly Output Reaches 300 Tons, Targeting 800 Tons after Phase II
During the event, accompanied by Zhang Bing, Wang Xiangqian, and other staff, attendees toured two of Shandong Sinocera's factories and the Sinocera Create-tide ink production lines. They praised Shandong Sinocera's strict management standards and numerous industry honors, and expressed strong interest in the Dongying ink production lines. At the sight of the large storage tanks and grinding equipment operating steadily in the new workshop, guests were unanimous in their praise. Shen Shaoxiong noted that the number of machines installed with BOTAO Ink had surpassed 400.
Wang Xiangqian announced that the Phase I production line in Dongying was fully operational with a monthly production and sales volume of 300 tons, and that the Phase II line, with a designed capacity of 500 tons per month, had officially broken ground. Upon completion, Sinocera Create-tide's total monthly ink capacity will reach 800 tons. Huang Xinhong, Zhang Baiqing, Chen Huan, Zhang Bing, Wang Xiangqian, and other guests attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Phase I commissioning and Phase II groundbreaking.
The BOTAO ceramic ink produced by Sinocera Create-tide has been widely acclaimed in the industry for its high cost-effectiveness, excellent performance, and stability, backed by three major advantages and six core strengths.
Three Major Advantages
·In-house production of key raw materials – pigments.
·Independent R&D and production of core dispersant solvents.
·Access to preferential pricing for grinding bead consumables through established channels.
Six Core Competitive Strengths
·In-house pigments ensure batch-to-batch consistency and reduce flocculation.
·Bulk solvent procurement via tankers guarantees higher stability.
·A high-end equipment lineup enables large-batch production with stable performance.
·Large-scale storage tanks allow for issue resolution prior to packaging and delivery.
·Replacing zirconium beads every three tanks ensures uniform particle size and prevents breakage.
·Adoption of management experience from listed companies' high-end material production systems.
Leveraging these advantages, Sinocera Create-tide provides high-quality products and attentive services to over 260 enterprises using inkjet technology. It has also established sound cooperative relationships with domestic and international companies. At the press conference, Xia Yangcheng, Director of the Antique Tile Factory at Guangdong Taoyilang Ceramics Co., Ltd., stated that Taoyilang had been using BOTAO Ink since December 2013 without any quality issues, and appreciated the on-site service provided. "After visiting Sinocera Create-tide's modern production workshop and fully imported production equipment, my perception of the company has been renewed, and my confidence in its products has greatly increased," said Xia.
As the production scale and quality of domestic ink continue to grow, industry confidence in localization has strengthened, accompanied by a steady decline in the price of domestic ceramic ink.
Notably, Sinocera Create-tide's independently developed BOTAO Ink has the confidence to price its products at over 70,000 yuan per ton. In this regard, Wang Xiangqian stated that while Sinocera Create-tide does not advocate price wars, it is committed to providing cost-effective ink. "All ink enterprises, including ours, should price based on costs. As the R&D technology for domestic ceramic ink matures and the market becomes more rational, we will strive to reduce costs while ensuring stable ink quality."
In his speech, Zhang Baiqing also pointed out that although foreign ink still holds half of the domestic market, its monopoly has long been broken. The accelerated localization of ink has given China a greater voice in inkjet printing. "However, I do not approve of price wars, as high-quality products should command a value commensurate with their quality."
Strong Alliance and Complementary Advantages Securing Technological Voice with R&D Strength
During the Q&A session, Peng Jichang, General Manager of Xinjingtai Ceramic Machinery, expressed strong interest in the partnership between Shandong Sinocera and Foshan Create-tide. Zhang Bing responded that the cooperation represents a "strong alliance, complementary advantages, and high integration," where both parties can leverage each other's R&D capabilities and strengths.
It is reported that in December 2013, Shandong Sinocera signed an investment intent letter with Foshan Create-tide Inorganic Chemical Co., Ltd. ("Foshan Create-tide") to jointly establish "Shandong Sinocera Create-tide New Materials Technology Co., Ltd." ("Sinocera Create-tide"), focusing on the R&D and industrialization of ceramic pigments & glazes, ceramic ink, and 3D printing materials.
According to Si Liuqi, Shandong Sinocera is a Sino-foreign joint high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, marketing, and service. It is the largest domestic producer of high-purity, ultra-fine barium titanate series powders and MLCC dielectric ceramic powders. Its products are sold domestically and exported to the United States, South Korea, and Japan. The company has established provincial-level research centers and has undertaken numerous innovation projects. It has led the drafting of the national industry standard for High-purity Barium Titanate for Electronic Industry and won awards including the "Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress."
Foshan Create-tide and its subsidiaries are influential and innovative enterprises in the ceramic pigment and glaze industry with over a decade of experience. They are among the few domestic masters of core ceramic ink R&D and production technologies, offering a full range of products including glazes, pigments, and ink. Sinocera Create-tide has established district and municipal-level engineering technology R&D centers and has won honors such as "Top 10 Most Potential (Raw Material) Suppliers in China's Building Sanitary Ceramics Industry."
Sinocera Create-tide operates two high-end brands: "QUANITECH Pigments & Glazes" and "BOTAO Ink." "QUANITECH," in production since 1998, generally outperforms similar domestic products and is exported to high-end markets like Italy and Spain. "BOTAO Ink," developed with introduced technology in 2011, achieved ink localization. Its fully imported equipment line ensures product quality on par with international imports, with superior cost and service advantages.
